The 1st camping trip is at Cedar Hill State Park at Cedar Hill, TX 75104. (That is in the DFW area)

Urban Oasis

Relax by the lake, tour an old Texas farm, or explore our rugged limestone hills and rare prairie pockets. Though we’re just a short drive from the DFW Metroplex, it feels like you’re a world away from the city.

Well it does not matter how many lists you make, how many times you think "What do I need?"; setting up a camper for the first time is a pain. You have to buy and/or get EVERYTHING. All that stuff except food and clothes get to stay in the camper. Then when you get the the camping part, you find out very quick what all you have forgot to put in the camper. But Cedar Hill State Park is just a few miles from the house, so there was a few trips back to the house and of course back to Wal Mart.
